Mortal: Vera Tyr is a willowy woman with long, straight hair dyed purple and eyes she frequently hides behind dark shades.
Standing more than 5’10” tall, with gentle, feminine curves, she moves with the grace of a dancer and casually carries herself with an air of nobility few manage to manifest. Dressing in a simple, elegant style, she tends to wear black silk button-down blouses and form hugging jeans in light colors under a long, black leather coat with a battered pair of biker’s boots on her feet.

Fae: Veratyr is a tall, willowy Sidhe whose hair is styled in such a way one of her eyes is commonly hidden from view. Her long, sweeping ears shows through on the other side of her heart shaped face as she regards the world through silver eyes that sparkle like light through an icicles. A lovely, intricate gown is draped over her body, cut low to show more then a touch of cleavage, hugging her body and accentuating her curves in a way that is becoming.

Background Summary

Veratyr is an Arcadian Sidhe Who found her way to earth the moment Vera kicked the stool out from under her and dropped as the noose tightened around her throat. Vera was a sad child, a lonely child whose parents gave her everything but their love and attention. As a little girl she tried pleasing them, devoting herself to ballet in the hopes of someday being their perfect princess. When she realized that would never happen her heart broke and she decided to rebel. She went as much the opposite as she could, taking up fighting and fencing and anything that would channel her rage and help her feel like she did something real, even if only for a moment. As a teenager, her able mind wouldn’t allow her to fail at her classes, even if she tried. Neither good grades, nor medals won from fencing or championships won with her fists and footwork got her what she wanted, her parents' appreciation and pride.

So, on the day before she was to graduate as valedictorian of her high school, she decided to show them and leave this place once and for all. She tied a noose to a tree outside, got out a stool, made everything ready and then hopped off it, not even bothering to leave a note her parents would never read. It was into that cold blast of sorrow and pain Veratyr entered the mortal world. Her feet kicked as the rope squeezed around her neck, tightening, cutting off her air but then stopping as her Voile came into being and her Fae Mail protected her from the noose. She hung there, swinging in the night breeze, oddly finding something familiar in all this as a memory from a distant past showed her hanging from the world tree giving her life up as a sacrifice in exchange for knowledge, magic and power.

Peck, peck peck… PeckPeckPeck… whoosh THUMP! Veratyr came back to ‘reality’ having fallen unceremoniously to the ground and landed on her derrière. She looked up and spied a Raven standing on the branch that had held the noose, strands of frayed rope in its beak. Lykke, the Raven pookah had born witness to the wash of Glamour that marked her entrance to this world and rushed to meet the newly born Kithain. When she found the Sidhe dangling from a limb, dead but not, she did what she could to help. The two felt a bond forming between themselves, easily and naturally, and for her part, Veratyr couldn’t imagine that the first Raven to greet her return to Earth was someone she was to meet once and never again. This friendship grew into a partnership that led to the exchange of Oaths to mark the importance each had to the other and the commitment they shared to the cause of uncovering mysteries, seeking knowledge and Justice where it was needed most.

Veratyr fell easily into the role of a Knight Errant, as the Dreaming bestowed upon her that rank and its responsibilities and her inclination was to fight for those threatened by darkness and those of ill intent. No killing machine, she both thought of life the lives of her friends and the innocent as a blessed gifts and to her enemies, she’d never grant them the release from Justice and Vengence that death provides. She took up the mantle of defender of her House’s interests and secrets, championing them when such was needed. In the mortal world, her skills lent themselves best to the life of a bounty hunter, bringing to justice those on the run. This duty overlapped into her Kithain life when some ne’er do well shirked their responsibility to honor the rulings of the Court and needed to be apprehended. On her ‘downtime’, she took to adventuring, treasure hunting really, guided by flashes of lives she’d lived or the auguries cast by Lykke, her faithful companion and sometimes her spy.

I firmly believe IC actions have IC consequences. That being said, I would like to discuss anything that could lead to a major change in my character OOCly before it happens (ie, Death, dismemberment, loss of status, etc.)

I am looking for fun, collaborative RP where we all make each other’s character’s cooler and have epic things happen, be it as a friend, rival, nemesis, enemy, lover, etc. This character was built with some legendary themes and an eye towards adventure. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
